Save the nomad, save the world

This guitarist's name is Omara "Bombino" Moctar.

This album gives a glimpse into a living world music. It won't matter if you understand lyrics in Tuareg or not; the translations on the inner sleeve share a taste of what's going on. Sometimes it is better to not know the words, and just feel the music and the vocals as entities whose mystery reveals itself over time.

I like Nomad a lot. It provides a wide view of open soundspace, doesn't demand a lot from the listener, and offers multiple layers and a variety of textures. If you want a more analytic type of review, try this:

Give Nomad a spin; your ears will thank you.
